"Cheer For Your Peers" | MVRHS student tickets
Mascoma teams tend to travel fairly well on the road. That's especially true during the NHIAA tournaments our varsity teams qualify for! But since our high school does not normally charge an admissions or ticket fee to attend regular season home games, it can be an unexpected cost if your favorite Royals make a deep run in the postseason.
Royals Athletic Boosters started to receive requests to help subsidize the costs of ticketed NHIAA playoff games for MVRHS students to attend and "cheer on their peers" and that's how this RAB program got its start.
For the past several years, we have provided funds to purchase 15-30 student tickets for each ticketed playoff game, ranging in price from $3-$7 per ticket, to the high school athletics department to distribute tickets and decrease the burden for our Mascoma high school students (and families) to attend these games and be part of the Royals fan base.
In some cases, we've also been able to coordinate with the school district and Butler's Bus to provide a fan bus for students who wish to attend state semi-final and championship games that tend to be held in Southern NH. This is especially helpful for younger students or new teen drivers who don't want to miss out on the opportunity for a banner moment just because they don't have personal transportation available for what might be a long drive on a weeknight.
Throughout the year, we work with teams on fundraisers that help to sustain this program. During the past few school years, we provided funds to purchase over $1000 worth of student tickets during NHIAA tournament play!
